What material is the sensory path made of?

Our sensory paths are digitally printed on 3M vinyl material. We only use 3M vinyls as they are the leaders in the graphic industry, providing the best colour quality, adhesive strengths, and durable laminates. We laminate all of our sensory paths with anti-slip laminate for the safety of the path users.

How are sensory paths produced?

All of our sensory paths are printed in our own print production facility. We produce every sensory path in-house on demand. Our production is a full print production producing high-resolution graphics. We have 20+ years in the print industry providing large format graphics.

Unsure about what size to buy?

Our paths can be customized for any space. The entire sensory path is made as individual pieces. You can layout out the design as our example or change it to your layout. Moving pieces closer or further apart will decrease or increase the overall size of the completed path.

How do I layout the path?

Whether you purchase the full path or sections, each can be installed as per our layout or you can create your own. Our path layouts have a start and finish point with activities in between. You can customize the layout. We can help to determine the best layout for your space.

Will these graphics work with my flooring?

Our standard sensory paths can be installed onto many different types of flooring and surfaces:

Luxury vinyl tile
Vinyl composite tile
Ceramic*
Linoleum
Laminate flooring
Hardwood
Low pile carpeting

*Ceramic tile requires a little different installation method. Please contact us for more details.

How to prep the floor for installation?

When installing on floor surfaces (except carpet and concrete), here are some tips

vacuum all debris from the floor
clean area with mild dish soap and water
then clean with Isopropyl Alcohol; dry thoroughly with a lint-free cloth

Waxed floors should have the wax removed before installation. Wax can be reapplied after the installation of the graphics and when the setup time of the adhesive has been passed.

How long will the sensory path last?

The lifespan of the sensory path will depend on how well it is maintained. As with any product, the better the maintenance routine, the longer the path will last. We use 3M laminates which protect the ink from fading and wear. Care should be taken when cleaning the sensory path. We recommend not using any floor cleaning machines, as they will damage the graphics. Pulling or dragging anything over the graphics will cause damage. Using harsh chemical cleaners will damage the sensory path graphics.

PLEASE NOTE: Use only soap & water or Isopropyl Alcohol for cleaning.

We recommend waxing over the graphics which is the ultimate protection!
